Personal data

Personal data is any information that enables us to identify an individual. In particular, this is a name, address and telephone number.

What data is requested?

We collect data according to the type of service that is used. Certain services, for example generating quotations via a web form and participating in competitions, require registration. We normally collect the following data in this case: name, address, telephone number, e-mail address.

Who is collecting my data?

In principle, we collect the information you provide on our web pages in our databases only unless you are explicitly informed that the data is being collected elsewhere.

What happens to my personal and anonymous data?

We need your personal data to carry out the particular service.

When you open one of our web pages with your browser, our server logs certain data (for example IP address, date, time and the pages viewed). This data is stored for security purposes and could potentially enable technical identification. However, we use anonymised data sets to analyse the statistics for visitors to our website so that we can tailor our service to your needs as much as possible. We cannot gather personal data from you in this way.

Do I have a say in how my data is used?

You are of course the only person with the right to decide whether and for what purposes we may use your data. For example, you can choose to receive a newsletter with selected information. You can also unsubscribe from this at any time. You are also the only person who can decide whether your data may be passed on to third parties or whether we may use your data for the purposes of consulting, advertising and market research. Again, you can of course revoke any permission granted at any time. You can also control the use of cookies. If you choose not to accept our cookies, the functionality of our pages may be reduced and some services may not be available. Please be aware of this.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that our web server sends to your browser. These files are stored on your hard drive. Cookies can only be read by the server that sent them. They contain information about what you viewed on a website and when. Cookies can help to make your use of the Internet more efficient. Cookies identify your computer’s IP address anonymously and do not store any personal information such as your name. As mentioned above, you can choose whether you accept cookies. You can select this in your browser settings and change it at any time.

Do you pass on my data to third parties?

No. We do not sell or share personal data.
If it is necessary to pass on your data in order to provide our services, we will only do so with your consent. We only disclose users‘ personal data if we are legally obliged to do so. This may be the case, for example, if public authorities (such as law enforcement authorities) call on us to provide information.

How can I check, correct or delete my data?

If you register in order to make use of one of our services, you will receive a user name and password. This enables you to access your data and you can update it or have it deleted if you no longer wish to use the particular service. In the case of services that are subject to a charge, we are entitled to store your data for longer periods for billing purposes.
